Mr. Andrey Sokadeev is the Managing Director of Tranter CIS LLC (Russia), which was founded in 2010. Mr Sokadeev has been working for Tranter as Sales Manager of the Russian representative office since beginning of 2009.
Mr Sokadeev is 38 years old and has an engineering degree in industrial electronics from Tashkent State Technical University.
How long has your Company been doing business in the region?
Tranter has been present in Russia for more than 15 years via representatives. Our own subsidiary was founded last year.
Do you have a specific target markets in the region? (ie Russia, Kazakhstan, key regions or market sectors nuclear, coal, gas, hydro etc?)
Industrial customers in Russia are our main target, but we are also seeing a lot of potential in Kazakhstan, Belarus and other CIS countries. All sectors of the power industry are relevant for our products.
What are your key products for the region and what are their benefits?
Tranter offers a full range of tailor-made gasketed, all-welded and spiral heat exchangers to meet the application requirements of our customers. Our products can solve almost any heat transfer problem.
Where space, weight and efficiency are a priority, Tranter’s plate heat exchanger technology can offer several advantages compared to traditional technology. In comparison to shell & tube exchangers, plate heat exchangers have a much more compact design; giving a large heat transfer area whilst saving more than 50 % of the space. Highly induced turbulent flow between plates gives highly efficient heat transfer and generates a self cleaning effect. As a result, our heat exchangers will minimise maintenance needs and help to avoid down time.
Tranter has also abandoned the old square/rectangular welded plate technology in favor of circular or oblong plate types. Square or rectangular plate designs are likely to suffer from mechanical fatigue failures in the corner welds resulting in weld failures and subsequent leakage. The circular/oblong shell & plate design eliminates high stress areas making the technology more suitable for critical duties.
Our all-welded plate heat exchangers can reach design conditions up to 900°C and over 100 bar dependant on the application.
What potential is there for your products in the market?
We see a huge potential for our products, since they are beneficial to use for most applications where heating or cooling is needed.
How do you compare and compete with existing Russian Technology?
No Russian competitor on the market offers the same range of products. Tranter’s heat exchangers are also certified according to Russian standards and approved by Russian authorities.
How do you see the market developing over the next 5 years in your industry sector?
We believe that the demand for all-welded plate heat exchangers will increase dramatically in the future as more and more of the customers realize the benefits and the money saving potential.
Do you have any new products being launched?
Our R & D engineers are constantly working on new products as well as improving existing ones. We have recently released two all-welded products; the One-Side-Cleanable unit (a system which allows mechanical cleaning between the plate cassettes on the shell side of the heat exchanger) and Oblong in Tube (a modular based Compact Evaporator & Receiver System with low construction height), and there are more to come. Our product development strategy is market driven, which enables us to translate customer inputs into new products very quickly.
Do you have any recent regional success stories?
Several industrial projects have been realized in Russia recently. For instance a number of projects with the biggest Russian Oil company Rosneft. We have also delivered for some power projects the past years, for Moscow city and a number of power plants
